Bureau of Indian Standards
In the world that we live in, standards fence us with an assurity of quality and reliability. BIS, as an established body of government, has been defining, directing and developing standards for the country since almost more than 3 decades now. Today, from an Television to a Telephone, from a Refrigerator to a Racket, from electric irons to electric stoves, almost every product of direct or indirect consumption has standards prescribed.
The challenge here was generating awareness. Making standards meet the common man. It was important for the common man as a consumer to learn and understand the significance of standards. So that they develop a sense of responsibility that helps them make informed choices as consumers.
It was here that Goldmine came into the picture. About a year ago, we were given the responsibility to create, manage and develop the social media platforms of BIS. Rightfully so, we started with simplifying BIS for the consumers. Before they learnt why standards are important, they had to know what standards are exactly. With a variety of campaigns, we established a connection with the consumers, making them informed and enlightened about the variety of products, where BIS had its standards prescribed.
Harmonizing creativity with the right information, we were able to impart knowledge about standards and BIS as an entity and help people make informed decisions about their purchase. From campaigns around the mandatory Hallmark on gold to campaigns on dentistry products, we’ve covered it all. Our content on social media also includes topical posts, festive posts and even posts on internal activities in BIS.
The result was our hard work reflecting in shining colours. With over 8,834 followers on Facebook, over 4569 followers on twitter, 2082 followers on Instagram, 5634 followers on linked in and 2.8 k followers on Youtube, we had not only reached more audience but also left a lasting impression on them.
Today too, Goldmine continues to strive with creativity and excellence for every post that we publish for BIS. Our priority remains the same, to help every consumer in the country be informed and acquainted about the choices they make with their purchasing power.
